The rounded body shape produces a smooth “walking the dog” action to satisfy all users from beginners to professionals. This curve controls the dive when landing so that bass are not frightened off even in tough conditions and a slightly upright floating position has been devised so that a lot of action can be produced within a short distance. The Sammy is the number one choice of people throughout the world and its’ continued success is produced from quality materials, its fishability and its catch rate that are second to none.
The Lucky Craft Sammy has three distinct characteristics; cupped face, posture and body shape.
Not only does the Lucky Craft Sammy have incredible ‘Walk the Dog’ action, but the cup-shaped face allows the bait to spit a tiny amount of water as it moves across the surface. Called the ‘Miracle Bait’ by anglers across the country, the Sammy resembles a baitfish swimming across the surface and will greatly increase an angler’s hook-up percentage.
Another very special characteristic of the Sammy is the standing posture. Sometimes bass aren’t stimulated by the ‘Walk the Dog’ action alone so the standing posture of the Sammy allows for a more realistic look in the water, which will attract more strikes. Body shape of a bait is important to catching fish. The banana-shaped body of the Sammy enhances the realistic look of the bait and, combined with the posture and side-to-side action, is hard for bass to resist.
The Sammy series consists of five sizes, not including the new Sammy 105, and four colors are available in the Wood Sammy (100 only). With the smallest Sammy at 2-1/2 inches in length and the largest Sammy, the 128, at 5-inches long, this series gives an angler a choice in topwater lures no matter the conditions.
